Relevant Experience
I have been a member of Barnsley Youth Choir since its inception in 2009, participating and performing in fantastic events such as the Barnsley Newham Partnership and Celebration of Achievement Awards.
I have travelled abroad with Barnsley Youth Choir to the World Choir Games in Riga 2014, and the European Choir Games in Magdeburg 2015, where we were awarded Gold Medals and first place in the Champions Pop and Gospel Categories, as well as the Grand Prix of Nations.
Additionally, I have been fortunate enough to work and sing alongside many choirs from around the world including Miraculum and Aurin Choirs from Hungary and the Adolf Fredriks Choir from Sweden.
I performed with Barnsley Youth Choir as part of the team at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2016.
I had the fantastic opportunity of conducting Barnsley Children’s Choir at the Underneath the Stars Festival in 2017, performing alongside Kate Rusby.
As a primary school teacher, I established and now lead my own school children’s choir, performing at a number of events including Music for Youth School Proms at the Royal Albert Hall; Young Voices in Sheffield; and Opera North this upcoming July, as well as many community events such as the Mayor’s Church Service.
