BYC Little Singers

Little Singers provides:

Little Singers provides children from birth - 4yrs with high quality, fun, interactive music classes. They are all based around the Kodaly Technique which focuses on teaching simple songs with a limited pitch range at the very beginning of a child’s life, which quickly develops the foundations of musicianship, such as pitch matching and identifying pulse and rhythm. This technique has been adapted with the use of puppets and especially composed songs and rhymes to suit the individual ages / capabilities of the children.

Classes

Sessions are divided into the following 3 separate classes which all take place at Emmanuel Church on Huddersfield Road on Thursdays and Fridays during term time:

Babies (0-18 months)
Thursdays 12.30pm – 1.10pm or Fridays 10.10am – 10.50am
Parents stay with the children during these sessions

Toddlers (18 months – 3 years)
Thursdays 1.10pm – 1.50pm or Fridays 9.30am – 10.10am
Children need to be able to walk to be involved in this class and parents stay with them during the class

Infants (3 years to 4 years)
Thursdays 1.50pm – 2.30pm or Fridays 10.50am – 11.30am
This class is for more independent children. Parents stay at the venue but in a separate area.

These ages act simply as a guideline – we are very flexible with the ages of children in the sessions. Block booking is advised to keep your child’s place. Paying in a termly block also provides parents with savings. This can be paid in cash or online at the start of a half term.
